Honeystone Cottage is a Grade II listed 17th-century retreat crafted from golden Cotswold stone, nestled in the postcard-perfect village of Stanton. Time slows here. Wake to birdsong and the scent of countryside air drifting through leaded windows. Wander flower-lined lanes, sip tea in the garden, or hike the Cotswold Way just steps from the door. With ancient beams above and flagstone floors below, every corner whispers history and quiet joy. Come, exhale, and stay awhile.

Step inside and be embraced by warmth and character. The cottage features a cosy sitting room with an inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove—perfect for slow evenings and shared stories. The country kitchen is well-equipped for everything from morning coffee to candlelit suppers. Upstairs, two restful bedrooms overlook the quiet village lane and gardens beyond. Every detail is designed for comfort, calm, and a touch of rustic romance.

The living room is ideal for family and friends to gather either around the 65" HDTV with Netflix, or for couples to cosy up in front of the wood burner. Enjoy the puzzles, board games and cards in the cupboard in the dining area. Suitable for all ages.

There is old flagstone flooring throughout the living space, and low ceilings as it is an old property with lots of character!

The conservatory is a beautiful light and airy room for relaxing in and enjoying views over the mature garden. A darts board is here for your entertainment.

There is one-bedroom double bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one super king, one double, each with their own ensuite. The super king room has a travel cot in the cupboard. Both rooms have a fan for the summer months.

Parking available directly outside of house, on the opposite side of the road, or free parking just 90 seconds walk away. Please be mindful of neighbours and don't block their drive or access. There is no shop within a walking distance, however there is a pub and Stanton village club which hosts live music.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire cottage, including the private garden where you can sit among the blooms or dine under the stars. On-street parking is available just outside the front door. Stanton is wonderfully walkable, and many scenic trails—including the Cotswold Way—begin within minutes of the cottage. We’ll send a digital guidebook before your stay, filled with our favourite local gems, pubs, walks, and hidden spots.

Honeystone Cottage is full of character—think low beams, uneven floors, and thick stone walls that tell stories of centuries past. While it’s been lovingly updated, it remains an authentic period home. The cottage is professionally cleaned before and after your stay, and though we don’t offer daily servicing, we’re always just a message away should you need anything. Dogs are welcome with prior notice—there’s plenty for them to sniff and explore!

Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor.

There is a darts board for your entertainment as well as cards, puzzles and board games.

Due to its age the property does have low ceilings throughout and uneven flooring, so please keep this in mind when you book.

There is a BBQ in the garden please keep this away from the property and property windows if you use.

There is a grate for the fire please ensure you use this when the fire door is open to prevent sparks hitting any rugs.
